Philippines > DON PAPA

Negros Occidental has always been the sugar capital of the Philippines. Thanks to this perfect combination of climate, geography and the richness of volcanic soil on the island, Negros is ideally located for sugar cane production. Light and fruity on the nose while being soft and delicate on the palate, the slightly amber color of Don Papa has a long finish, rich with aromas of vanilla, honey and candied fruit.

Martinique > LA MAUNY – Rhum Vieux Agricole Hors d’Âge XO

Very richly rewarded at international competitions, the very old rum La Mauny XO House is a liquor elaborated in the greatest respect for tradition, in the heart of La Mauny distillery, exceptional land nestled in a green hollow in the south of the island of Martinique.

This cuvée is the result of an exceptional blend of twelve vintages, each more remarkable than the last, the youngest having aged more than six years. A great vintage elaborated in the rules of the art, by the Master of Cellar of the House which answers the rigorous specifications of the AOC (Appellation of Controlled Origin).

An appellation that La Maison La Mauny particularly likes because it owes its obtaining to Jean-Pierre Bourdillon, responsible for the distillery at that time.

This Cuvée La Mauny has a rich and harmonious aromatic profile.

A pretty golden color with coppery highlights. The nose is dominated by the fragrances of ripe spices and macerated fruits, a light floral and woody fragrance reveals itself with finesse. On the palate, we can feel the sensation of crunching in a well-cooked fruit deliciously sprinkled with oriental spices and gray pepper: a powerful yet subtle aromatic cocktail.
The finish is long, delicate and melodious: the balance between tannins and aromas is perfect.

Martinique > LA MAUNY  – « Spiced » – Rhum épicé

Spicy Mauny is a subtle blend of La Mauny Amber and mellow Caribbean spices. It is delicious neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail. Spicy Mauny features an antique gold color with mahogany and copper undertones. A rich and suave taste. Notes of spice and brown sugar persist as fine hints of caramel and citrus emerge. The aroma offers up gingerbread, cinnamon and honey notes. Hints of crushed black pepper and lime then emerge. The finish is tender and flavorful, with a mellowness and character that sets this rum apart.

Martinique > LA MAUNY – Rhum Agricole Ambré

Founded in 1749 by Count of Mauny, the La Mauny Estate is renowed for its distinctive terroir, located in the south part of Martinique, in the French West Indies. Classified as great « agricole » rums with AOC Martinique Certification, the La Mauny rums are the precious result of the distillation of pure sugarcane juice. Aged in oak for 18 months, this Rhum offers an appealing amber colour with delicate woody notes.

This rum is a rare blend of Trois Rivières’ three greatest cru vintages. They were selected by their Cellar Master for their exceptional qualities, their finesse and elegance, all remarkably preserved in the Triple Millésime Hors d’Âge.

Martinique > TROIS RIVIÈRES – Cuvée de L’Océan Rhum blanc agricole

This cuvée of character is indeed made from sugar cane grown on plots near the sea, in Anse Trabaud in the south of the island (parcellization and traceability of sugar cane). On the nose this rum is revealed through aromas of sugar cane flower. On the palate the power is remarkable, a marine flavor accompanied by almost spring-like vegetable notes fill the mouth. The finale evolves in the same register with a good persistence of iodized notes.

The balance of bouquet  and unique flavors is derived from a blend of aged rums of between 6 and 23 years old. Ron Zacapa 23 is matured at an altitude of 2300 meters in selected barrels that previously aged robust american whiskeys, delicate sherries and fine pedro ximenez wines.

Keenly vibrant and well-balanced, Plantation Three Stars displays the finesse and style of Trinidad and Barbados well integrated with the character and fuller flavors of Jamaica. On the nose it has delicate notes of tropical fruits intertwined with brown sugar and ripe banana. On the palate it displays subtle spices and floral notes with a finish of sugar cane and vanilla.

Colombie > DICTADOR aged 12 years

Dictador 12 years old rum, created in Cartagena de Indias on the coast of the Carribean sea by the 3rd generation of the Parra family Hernan Parra Arrango, Dictador Master Blender. His unparalleled expertise brings you a taste of Colombia, refined to perfection.

In the glass, light copper tones suffused with amber highlights. An intense nose of maple syrup, tobacco and leather aromas. In the mouth, an explosion of fruits and honey with creamy spiced oak notes and a deep cigar tobacco and coffee finish. This is a 12 year old medium bodied rum with full, rich flavours.

Colombie > DICTADOR aged 20 years

Aged in oak barrels with the solera method, allowing for the development of deeop rich flavours. Once it has achieved full body and perfect taste, the rum is then meticulously bottled. Dictador is extraordinary. Beautiful copper-orange dress. Nose of roasted coffee, pastry, with touches of exotic fruits and spices (ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon). The palate is soft and silky, always marked by roasting but also by honey, vanilla. It is more and more fruity, with a long and spicy finish.

Jamaica > RUM NATION 5 years old

Appearance: Dark gold, with apricot nuances.

Nose: Deep, balsamic, with notes of camphor and the typical estery Jamaican “funk”. Cane sugar, some fermented and winey notes.

Palate: Identical to the nose, but also with notes of wood resin, pine needles, black pepper, and a hint of flour. There is a background sweetness, but the overall impression is dry and spicy. Raisins, old wood.

Finish: Hot, peppery, lively. The “funky” Jamaican note lingers on the tongue for a long time.

Comment: A robust Jamaican rum, very aromatic and spicy, but made gentler and rounder by the winey and raisiny influence of the sherry casks.

Panama > Rum Malecon 12 years

Color : Copper orange with topaz reflections.

Nose : Intense, citrus, cinnamon, cream.

Palate : Rich and round with a zest of orange, apricot and sweet spices.

Final : Persistent and spicy.

Its richness, roundness and perfume make this expression of the Malecon range an ideal rum for tasting.
